Looking back over the past decade could make the ordinary person wonder what on earth our politicians have been thinking. Not only have they led us into several questionable conflicts, they are heightening a need for national security at home as well as inflicting the pain of loss among the families of troops serving in these conflicts.
They have also been exposed as corrupt in regards to their expense submissions, and not for paltry amounts. Yet as if that wasn’t sufficient to shake the faith of even the most devout, their latest decisions to overcome the financial crisis created by the banks is not to seek recovery of the money needed to maintain this country from the bankers, but rather from the public that has already spent £billions propping up the bankers.
Our politicians tell us they have no alternative other than to reduce all areas of public service by 20-30%. Why? Because that is the only way they can overcome the financial crisis created by the banks.
